Unlike cheap basic detectors, the 1206i is designed to detect both analogue and digital wireless transmissions, including signals from Bluetooth devices, 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi devices, mobile/GSM-style transmitters, wireless cameras, GPS trackers, and other active RF devices.
The unit features a wide main antenna detection range of 50–12000 MHz, along with a dedicated auxiliary antenna range for 2.4–2.48GHz and 4.9–5.875GHz, making it especially useful for modern Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-based devices.
The included Micro-Pointer directional microwave antenna helps improve location accuracy by allowing the user to narrow down where a signal is coming from. This is useful when checking walls, furniture, electronics, vehicles, sockets, office equipment, or hidden compartments.

This device detects active transmitting signals. It will not reliably detect devices that are switched off, fully powered down, not transmitting, or recording only to internal storage/SD card with no wireless signal.
